Recently, I started playing the game Mass Effect and I absolutely love it. I made this OC (a Kryptonian) way before I played the game. I thought it would be really fun to rp with her and make her into a crossover. Usually, I’m really nervous about this sort of thing especially since OCs have such a bad reputation so it was a big leap for me to even go through with it. And I got the response I knew I would get. Which was no response at all because of the character.  I feel like some people generalize OCs and/or crossover characters because of a lot of Mary Sues or God Mods. I’ve toned down my character so much and worked really hard to avoid making her a God Mod/ Mary Sue. It just really sucks being so excited to roleplay as the character and get no feedback on something you’ve worked hard on.
