My ex-boyfriend and I used to roleplay a lot together. But I was never really satisfied with how we did so because it was always him using the same 5 characters over and over and me always having to come up with new love interests or partners for them. (His characters lived forever, so it supposedly didn’t matter much).
But there was once or twice where I really enjoyed the characters I made and that character’s chemistry with his character, or the adventure they went on that round.
Recently, I’ve found myself wanting to write a different story and remembering my favorite couple from back then, I’m adopting the base plot and characters and recycling them. In the end only my character will have really remained the same but it’s refreshing and nice to see something I actually loved spread it’s wings under new single management.
