Friend of mine says his character needs a ship, and I offer up my character for it under the condition that we take the time to work on it, because my character is extremely new to romance and doesn’t really understand it very much. He agrees. Find out later that his character’s in a relationship with another character, and is caught between having feelings for both my character and this other one. I didn’t find this out until after it happened. Kiiiiind of irritating. Realistic, but irritating. Oh well, it’s not like my character is going to understand romance anytime soon. Maybe never, since now she’ll see him as being spoken for and won’t even care to explore whatever feelings she might have had for him.
