When I fall hard for a character OOC and that character ends up with someone else, it hurts so much I can’t even look at that RPer anymore. Any friendship between us then dies. I feel hatred and jealousy when I look at them. And what friendship can live on that? No friendship deserves that.
I wish it wasn’t this way, but the emotions I feel are real. The anger is real, the jealousy, the hatred. Even if my half of the imagined OTP feels nothing for the other character yet, it’s just completely over.
It’s like the feeling when you fall for someone in RL and they reject you, and all you can do is walk away from them forever and try to forget everything you felt because being around them hurts way too much.
